Week 8 DFS Picks

IMG_8731

I had a pretty good week last week, giving out players like AJ Green, Melvin Gordon, and more. But now it’s Week 8, so let’s get into the picks.

Favorite Stacks

  1. Cardinals

QB: Carson Palmer ($6,000)

Player(s) you can stack him with: Larry Fitzgerald ($7,500), John Brown ($4,700), Michael Floyd ($4,100)

The Cards are traveling to face the once-praised Panthers defense that people used to avoid in DFS. But now, we’re targeting them, as their opponents have averaged over 26 points per game this season. These two teams have proved there are barely any sure things, but the constant sure thing in Arizona is Larry Fitzgerald, who draws one of PFF’s best match up grades of the week. So even if you don’t like Palmer this week, you should strongly consider his top wideout.

Who to Fade

Ryan Fitzpatrick ($6,200)

After Fitzpatrick got benched for Geno Smith (Geno Smith!!), he was lucky to get his job back when Smith tore his ACL. And now that he’s playing the Browns, I’m hearing about a lot of people being on him. All I’m saying is, let’s not forget how bad he was in the first place. Be careful.

Mike Evans ($8,100)

I said this last week with Allen Robinson, and I’ll say it again. The Oakland Raiders give up lots of points, but not to big and physical receivers. Their corners know how to stop that type of WR, but people seem to not know.

Don’t Sleep on These Guys

Russell Wilson ($7,200)

Wilson hasn’t been very good this season, as he’s dealing with a few lower leg injuries. But if there was the perfect game for him to break out, it would be this week against the league’s worst defense in New Orleans.

Melvin Gordon ($5,700)

Yes, San Diego has to play Denver, but the Broncos’ run defense isn’t even close to as good as their pass defense. But DraftKings priced him as if he was a receiver. Even in a tough matchup, the TD machine (10 TDs in 7 games!!) has great value here.

Devontae Booker ($3,700)

This might be an extremely popular pick, but after CJ Anderson was placed on the Injured Reserve, Booker is now the full-time RB for Denver. And he’s a good player, there’s no doubt about it. He’s got a plus matchup against the Chargers, so it would be smart to at least roster him in your 50/50 lineups.

Here are a handful of extra players I like this week. Good luck to you all!

David Johnson

Alex Smith/Jeremy Maclin

Mike Gillislee (if he is the starter)

Jacquizz Rodgers

Spencer Ware

David Johnson

Melvin Gordon

Terrelle Pryor

Carson Wentz

San Diego D/ST
